The Vintage Notebook with Freya Roski
Welcome to The Vintage Notebook - a storytelling podcast dedicated to vintage and archival fashion.
I’m Freya Roski, host of this podcast, vintage buyer and co-founder of ROSKI YARD.
In this podcast, I share my personal journey in the vintage world, offering insights as a lifelong vintage lover and professional. I’ll take you through the stories of iconic fashion houses and forgotten designers—whose work deserves to be remembered. From my research, I uncover fascinating tales that are important for today and future generations.
My journey into vintage fashion began over 20 years ago, as a teenager growing up in Germany. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with fellow enthusiasts, clients, and industry professionals, all of whom have encouraged me to share what I’ve learned along the way.
The Vintage Notebook is a blend of solo episodes about vintage designers, intimate conversations with like-minded fashion enthusiasts, and insider stories from the world of fashion history and collecting. I’ll also be sharing my expertise on the vintage industry, giving you a glimpse behind the scenes of this fascinating world.
Join me on this journey, where the past meets the present, and the stories of vintage fashion live on.

Luciano Soprani
In this episode, I uncover the fascinating and little-known story of Luciano Soprani - a tale that feels like it’s straight out of a novel. I first came across his journey while working as a vintage buyer, hidden in my research library, and knew it was a story worth sharing.
Luciano Soprani began his life as a farmer in Italy and rose to become one of the country’s most talented fashion designers. From his early days at one of Italy’s most iconic fashion houses to the bold path he forged as a freelancer and founder of his own label, Soprani’s story is one of talent, reinvention, and quiet brilliance.
